The Chiropractic profession specialises in the evaluation, treatment, prevention and overall management of disorders of the neuro-musculoskeletal system. The profession enjoys independent practising status and emphasises that it is not an alternative to conventional medicine.
The research ethos reflects the primary care nature of the chiropractic profession: interests including diagnostics, aetiological factors in disease, epidemiology and relative effectiveness of chiropractic management.
